Tamisha Harris L.P.N. Founder of Serenity Sisters Homecare

Serenity Sisters Homecare, founded by Nakeisha Taltoan and her late sister, Tamisha Harris, is dedicated to honoring the memory of Tamisha. With over 25 years of nursing experience in the Mahoning County area, Tamisha developed a deep love for providing care early in her life while looking after her grandmother, who was ill with cancer. Her family's commitment to home care profoundly influenced her career path.

Tamisha believed that family supportive care was essential for rehabilitation and healing. This passion drove her to become a nurse, and for over 20 years, she dedicated herself to the residents and staff at Danridge Burgandi Manor, delivering exceptional nursing care in long-term care (LTC). In 2018, she decided to pursue her dream of opening a homecare agency, partnering with her sister Nakeisha to create Serenity Sisters Homecare.

In 2019, Tamisha returned to school to pursue her R.N. license and successfully graduated from the R.N. program. Tragically, she faced significant medical challenges and passed away before she could obtain her license and see her dream realized.

We honor Tamisha Harris not only as an extraordinary nurse but also as a beloved mother, sister, and friend.

Nakeisha Taltoan Sister/Owner of Serenity Sisters Homecare

Serenity Sisters Homecare was opened in 2024 by Nakeisha Taltoan, who shares a deep passion for caregiving, just like her sister, Tamisha Harris. Their love for caregiving blossomed while they were caring for their grandmother.

With the support of Tamisha in 1999, Nakeisha Taltoan obtained her S.T.N.A license at Danridge Burgandi Manor, following in her sister's footsteps to enter the medical field. For the next decade, she worked as an aide under her sister in the same unit.

In 2018, Nakeisha attended EGCC and earned her associate's degree in business management. After graduating, she and Tamisha planned to open a staffing agency but ultimately chose to focus on home health. They believed their greatest impact would be in homecare rather than staffing.

Following the passing of Tamisha in 2019, Nakeisha explored other career paths and initially stepped away from homecare. However, by 2024, she was determined to fulfill their shared dream and bring Serenity Sisters Homecare to life.

Serenity Sisters Homecare stands as a tribute to Tamisha Harris, honoring their family roots and the values instilled in them by their beloved grandmother.
